School Mission
To provide students in grades an early college experience focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Overview
Qualified students may be provided the opportunity to simultaneously complete high school and post secondary coursework at regionally accredited colleges and universities.
The proposed alternative school shall to serve all students where differentiated instruction matches assessed needs, including English Language Learners, “at risk”, gifted, highly gifted students and students with special needs.
We envision a “community of practice” where measurable goals are set and our shared passion and dedication to improving student achievement levels and our school as a whole are evidenced.
Our vision includes a strong “community of practice” where:
Teachers as intellectuals, who possess a love of learning, will demonstrate their commitment by modeling lifelong learning for our students by studying, applying and analyzing school assessment data, and cutting-edge research from education, psychology, neuroscience and technology;Goals are set that foster the development of students who are globally minded, scholastically strong and diverse, and who posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Students will investigate and set career goals through supporting programs such as; Soft skills required for success in college, Career Investigation Workshop, Real World Simulations such as Model UN, Service-learning Projects, Distance Delivered Instruction, Multi-year Individualized Learning Contracts, Career Guest Speakers, and Mentoring;
